An Update Regarding COVID-19

We would like to reassure our families that Bergeron’s will continue to remain open to serve our communities during this time of uncertainty. We are striving to keep our community, our families, and our staff safe.

The government has taken measures to limit public gatherings to very small groups, and we are trying to ensure that the number of people entering the funeral home remains within those guidelines. We ask our families to please call before coming in, so we can provide you with information and options in regards to the funeral arrangement and safety for all.

Thank you,

From all of us at Bergeron Funeral Services & Crematorium Ltd.

It is with a heavy heart we announce the passing of Susan Kay (née Kriff), a very special life taken too soon after a short battle with cancer.

Susan was born in Nipigon, Ontario on February 1, 1957 to Ralph and Elma Kriff. She spent the majority of her life living and working in Dawson Creek, BC. Her hard fought battle came to an end on July 7, 2019, at 62 years of age, in the Dawson Creek hospital surrounded by family.

Susan worked hard to not only enrich her life but also those of whom she was close to. She was extremely kind and generous and would do anything for her loved ones. Family was very important to her and she treasured her family time more than anything.

Susan is predeceased by her parents Ralph and Elma Kriff, her nephew Justin Aubut, and her best (dog) friend, Sid.

She is survived by her children Jason (Sheena) and Shannon (Steven), her beloved grandchildren Brandon, Liam, Riley, Hailey, Cypress and Aiden, her sisters Janice (Alan), Diane (Dwayne) and Linda, and her nieces and nephews James, Jordan, Rebekah, Sarah, Rachel and Nathanael.

A celebration of life will be held in Nipigon, Ontario at a later date. Memorial donations may be made in the form desired by friends and family.

Susan will definitely be missed by all. At work, she was always busy doing anything that needed doing and more. All those times in the winter when I would head to the work shack a pathway had already been shovelled clear by Susan. She loved watching golf and "Let's Make a Deal". She really enjoyed times with her family. I am sure you are all missing her very much. We miss her as our co-worker. All my sympathy. Lesley

Condolences to Susans family! Our hearts are hurting from the loss of a sweet, caring friend and co worker, but the good memories will last forever. Susan was a hard working loyal person ..we worked the same turnaround and had some nice chats as we crossed shifts ..she always looked forward to her visits with family and friends, loved her job and the people she met, if only you could see how much people cared and now miss you Susan! The kind words we hear ,the flowers, gifts and cards that come into the office speak volumes of your gentle caring spirit.....I miss hearing "Thankyou Susan" at the gate. The windows on our shift will never be as clean. Its not the same without you!! I remember when I just met you , you were running outside with blankets into the pouring rain I had no idea what you were doing! you were covering your car in case it hailed. you took care of things well and also took care of those around you...a tiny lady with a big heart! I hope your being taken care of now.. you will be ...forever missed
