John Sim Taylor
1945 - 2012

Peacefully, but far too soon, it is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of our father John Sim Taylor at the age of 66.

Dad was born in Aberdeen, Scotland on March 14th, 1945, the middle child of Alex and Mary. He grew up with his older brother David and younger sister Anne.

Dad developed his adventurous spirit early in life after spending 3 years in Egypt as a child. After that his love of travel never ceased. He emigrated to Canada in 1967 with his wife Margaret and daughter Wendy, eventually settling in Winnipeg, Manitoba, where his second daughter Gail was born. He worked for many years as a Psych Nurse at Misericordia Hospital until his wanderlust took hold again. He moved first to Vancouver before finding his home in Dawson Creek, British Columbia, where he lived for many years among friends.

He is pre-deceased by his parents and brother David, and will be sadly missed by sister Anne, daughter Wendy (Jay), daughter Gail, granddaughter Amanda (Colin), grandsons James & Keenan, first great grandchild Emily, and many nieces and nephews. Our family wishes to thank Brian& Nadine Anderson, Shirley & Glen, Dr. Ashwell, all the staff at the hospital, and all his friends and colleagues in Dawson Creek.

Words can not express how thankful we are to you for being there for our dad over the years, and
also for being there for us now.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the
Dawson Creek Hospital Foundation
11100 - 13 Street, Dawson Creek, British Columbia V1G 3W8.

John will be cremated.  No service will be held by his request.
