Lyle Barrie Haining 1933 - 2009

 

Lyle Barrie Haining passed away Friday, July 10, 2009 at the Dawson Creek Hospital at the age of 76 after a battle with Esophageal Cancer.

He was born March 21, 1933 in Acme Alberta just south west of Three Hills.  He attended school in Acme and started farming with his Dad Walter Otis Haining.

He has farmed with his loving wife and partner Ruth (Kemp) Haining for the past 40+ years in the Cotillion Area, Alberta.

They have three Children; Debbie (Hal) Skaar, Deanna (Reyer) Tollenaar and Darcy (Kylee) Haining.

Four Grand Children; Barry Skaar, Simon Skaar, Ryan Tollenaar and Katrina Haining.

Lyle has two remaining siblings Delmar Haining and Edna Mae Guppy and is predeceased by his sister Myrtle Haining

He was loved and will be missed by his family, friends and neighbours.

He left special memories with all who knew him.

He was laid to rest at Hill Haven Cemetery in Bonanza, Alberta close to his home quarter.  The Funeral was held at the Bonanza Hall in Bonanza at 1:00 pm on Thursday, July 16, 2009.

The family is requesting that donations be made to the Stars Air Rescue in Grande Prairie in lieu of flowers.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Bergeron Funeral Services & Crematorium Ltd. Dawson Creek, British Columbia.
